Mount Kinabalu is situated in the East Malaysia state of Sabah on the island of Borneo. It is the place where you could see breathtaking sunrise from above the clouds, 13,435 feet (4095 meters) above sea level.

Most climbers take two days to ascend and descend Mt Kinabalu. The eight-kilometre climb generally starts from the the Timpohon Gate near park headquarters (1800m), with an overnight stay at one of the guest houses at Laban Rata (3273m), before pushing on to the summit early next morning.Thousands of tourists visit Kinabalu National Park each year and most come with the intention of climbing Mt Kinabalu.




Kinabalu National Park or Taman Negara Kinabalu was established as one of the first national parks of Malaysia in 1964.



This Flora and Fauna botanical paradise covers an area of 754 square kilometers. This botanical site is blessed with astonishing variety of flora and fauna that ranges over 4 climate zones; from rich lowland dipterocarp forest through the montane oak, rhododendron, to the coniferous forests, to the alpine meadow plants, and to the stunted bushes of summit zone. The mountain is famous for its many carnivorous plant and orchid species, most notably Nepenthes rajah. Its is also home to a multitude of endemic animal species, including the Kinabalu Giant Red Leech and Kinabalu Giant Earthworm. 


                                                        
Actually, the meaning of Poring in Kadazan is "bamboo". Poring is populated by an abundance of birds including Drongos, Woodpeckers, Leafbirds, Broadbills, Yellow-vented Bulbul, Magpie Robin, Asia Fairy Bluebird and Hornbills. Out of Borneo’s ten Sunbird species, seven are found in Poring, as well as six species of Spider-hunters.

Poring is situated 550 metres above sea level and is in the more humid lowland rainforest which contrasts with the majority of Kinabalu National Park.  An impressive compilation of more than 500 species of orchids grown at Poring, mostly rare and endangered is a photographer’s paradise.  Six of the 12 Borneo Slipper Orchids are endemic to Kinabalu National Park including the endangered Rothschild’s Slipper Orchid.

Soak away the sores and aches of your muscles in the spring’s hot sulphuric minerals, deemed to have healing properties and very popular among the locals.

Kiulu river rafting is a experience that couldn't be missed. A short briefing will be conducted by the guide. The rivers provided a Grade II to III experience, perfect for newcomers to the sport. Kiulu River is located at Kampung Pukak, Kiulu, 1 hour drive from Kota Kinabalu.

Kinabalu National Park & Poring Hot Spring
Simple Itinerary :-
0730hrs pick up from the city hotel and proceed for about 3 hours drive to Poring Hot Springs through scenic mountainous countryside. Upon arrival, a must visit is the Treetop Canopy Walkway which 20 minutes hike is needed. Experience the height of 41 metres above the ground and length of 157 metres. Or you may just take a dip in the open air Japanese styled bathtub which the hot sulphuric water is believed to have curative powers. Lunch at the local restaurant. Then, continue journey to Kinabalu National ParkMalaysia’s First World Heritage for a visit to the Mountain Garden and Exhibition Hall before returning to Kota Kinabalu.

0830hrs depart from the city hotel. The journey to Kinabalu National Park takes about 1½ hours drive through scenic countryside and beautiful mountain range. On the way, stop by at the Nabalu Fruit Market to buy some fruits and souvenir. Upon arrival at 1100hrs, follow the Park Naturalist on a guided trails walk and they will point out the various wonder. Visit the Mountain Garden or Mt Kinabalu Botanical Garden. You may find diverse species of flora from all over the park has been replanted here. Lunch at the local restaurant. Visit the Exhibition Hall or you may sign up on the audio-visual shows featuring rare flora and fauna which are found in the park. Transfer back to Kota Kinabalu in the afternoon.

0900hrs depart from the city hotel. The journey to Kinabalu National Park takes about 1½ hours drive through scenic countryside and beautiful mountain range. On the way, stop by at the Nabalu Fruit Market to buy some fruits and souvenir. As you arrive, check in at the mountain lodge and lunch. Continue tour to Kinabalu National ParkMalaysia’s First World Heritage. Visit the MountainGarden and Exhibition Hall. Optional: There are many trails in the park itself, if you wish to do more jungle walk, please get advice from our guide. Return to the lodge for free at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the mountain lodge.

Day 2 (Breakfast & Lunch)
Wake up as early as 0700hrs to appreciate the imposing beauty of Mount Kinabalu before your very eyes as it is slowly surrounded by the clouds. After breakfast, check out and proceed for about one hour drive to Poring Hot Springs. Upon arrival, a must visit is the Treetop Canopy Walkway which 20 minutes hike is needed. Experience the height of 41 metres above the ground and length of 157 metres. Or you may just take a dip in the open air Japanese styled bathtub which the hot sulphuric water is believed to have curative powers. Lunch at the local restaurant. Simple Itinerary :-
Day 1 
0900hrs pick up at your hotel. And start your journey to Kinabalu National Park for check in. Overnight at Kinabalu National Park.

Day 2 (Breakfast, Packed Lunch & Dinner)
0730hrs wake up and have your breakfast. After breakfast check out from Kinabalu Hostel and transfer to Kinabalu National Park HQ for register. And collect your packed lunch and start your climbing journey via Timpohon gate. Once you arrive, refresh & dinner, overnight at mountain hut. 

Day 3 (Breakfast & Lunch)
Wake up at 0200hrs continue climb to summit. Witness the mystical sunrise at 0600hrs. After that return to resthouse for your breakfast & descend to HQ to collect your certificate. After lunch transfer you to city hotel.
